The First Digital Accordion Orchestra in The World.

" THE MUSICTECH DIGITAL ACCORDION ORCHESTRA "

We announce the birth of The Musictech Digital Accordion Orchestra, the first orchestra made up entirely of Digital Accordions: the Fantastic Music Maker Digital 50 Accordion.

This Musictech event marks an important milestone in the story of the accordion. In fact no one has ever united so many big name accordionists such as Giancarlo Caporilli, Vincenzo Abbracciante, Mirko Azzalin, Gianni Mirizzi, Marco Polidori, Vincenzo De Ritis, Gennaro Ruffolo, Massimo Siviero, Heather Smith and Alberto Valguarnera to give way to a new era in the World of Music.

The inaugural concert of The Musictech Digital Accordion Orchestra is on Wednesday 15th October 2008 at the Teatro Astra in Castelfidardo during the International Accordion Festival the 15th October 2008.

This presentation will enable people from all over the World to have a personal opportunity to get first-hand experience with this instrument and grasp a realistic idea of what electronics can do to an instrument that has its roots in an age when the word technology didn’t even exist.

The Music Maker Digital 50, the latest generation of accordion in its digital form, is the result of a careful collaboration between electronic designers, craftsmen and World-Famous musicians.
With this series of products Musictech wanted to create a realistic instrument, the sound of which is created digitally instead of by the more usual internally vibrating reeds of a traditional accordion.

This is not an electronic instrument with a MIDI interface, but a real accordion that incorporates all the artistry and raw materials of a traditional instrument to which all the advantages and infinite possibilities of the MIDI protocol has been added.

The idea of this project came about from the strong desire to bring the attention of youngsters and those who generally play music to an instrument like the accordion that, thanks to the technical implementation, we could define as "up to date tradition".

At last our beloved accordion, that according to statistics is going through a positive period, will be able to occupy the honourably position that it deserves in a World where without traditional values it would no longer be possible to make any progress.
