Giancarlo Caporilli born in Rome the 18 December 1947.
He has begun the musical studies at the age of 4 years under the guide of the M° Fernando Chierici; he has studied accordion, piano, harmony and composition with the M° Silvio Aureli with which, at the age of 14 years, he plays in numerous records for the "Italian R.C.A" like "first accordion " of the "Fisorchestra Farfisa".
Known in the most environment musical in Italy and in the Foreign country, hes performed hundred of concerts like host of several honor in Countries of the world has held: England, Switzerland, Scotland, Spain, France, ex-Yugoslavia, Rumania, Holland, Canada and today is defined "the accordionist for all" since have a so immense repertory that can space in every musical kind: lyric, sinphonic, liturgic, light classic, pop, jazz. Always one has exhibited like "Concertist solo accordion" also for important associations between which "ARI”, ARMONI”, "ANC”, but it has made part also of many orchestrals groups like pianist and keyboard player in radio and television shows.
Enrolled to the SIAE from 1968 it is like composer who author of the literary part, has composed approximately 300 songs for solos and accordions orchestras collaborating with many publishing houses: Eridania, Bèrben, Phjsa, Corrado Study, Apriliana and Roxburgh, are in Italy that in the United States.
Its compositions come dates like obligation piece in many National and International competitions of accordions where often it carries out functions jury President.
In 1988 it comes decorate with the "Cross of the C.E.A" (European Confederation Accordionist) for artistic merits.

Currently Giancarlo Caporilli makes part of the "Didactic Center Musical Italian" and directs to Rome between the most prestigious schools than music, where standard theory and solfeggio, accordion, keyboards and electronic organ.
From 26 October 1999, I tread of its right hand comes conserved near the "international Museum of the accordion " of Recoaro Terme (Vicenza - Italy) with to those of other accordionist of world-wide reputation.
26 May 2000 to Rome comes assigned to the "International Prize Enrico Caruso year to it 2000" for the spread of music and the Italian art in the world.
It has recorded numerous tapes playing songs of its composition that of other famous authors curing of personally the arrangements and the orchestrations.
In 2001 come out its first CD (solo accordion): "Noi due ".
In 2002 come out its second CD (solo accordion): "Adios Piazzolla".
In 2004 come out its third CD (solo accordion): "Slalom".
The C.E.A., in 2004, rewards it for the third time with one "cross to the merit" like accordionist and composer. In 2005, to Massafra (Taranto - italy) after a its concert, publisher Nino Bellinvia, to name of the "M7N" (musical international Guide of the world of seven notes) more rewards it for artistic merits as accordionist engaged in international field. |
